Product Introduction
Synflorix vaccine 0.5ml is a pneumococcal vaccine used to prevent disease in children aged 6 weeks to 17 years and adults aged 18 years and older. This injection provides protection against meningitis (inflammation of the membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord), sepsis or bacteremia (bacteria in the bloodstream), pneumonia (lung infection), and ear infection caused by 13 different types of Streptococcus pneumoniae bacteria. It works by enabling the body to produce antibodies that protect against these diseases.
Do not use Synflorix vaccine if you are allergic to the pneumococcal vaccine, any other ingredient in this medicine, or any other vaccine containing diphtheria toxoid. Do not use it if you have a severe infection with fever over 38°C.
