Product Introduction

Tabi 50mg Tablet contains the active ingredient Bicalutamide. It is indicated for the treatment of advanced prostate cancer. It is classified as a non-steroidal anti-androgen. It is prescribed in combination with a Luteinizing Hormone-Releasing Hormone (LHRH) analog or surgical castration. Tabi 50mg Tablet may be taken with or without food but should be taken at a fixed time each day. The dosage will be determined based on the patient's condition. The medication should be taken exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Overdosage should be avoided as it may cause serious adverse effects. This medicine must be continued even when the patient feels well. It forms part of androgen deprivation therapy, a combination approach involving radiation, surgical intervention, and hormonal therapy in high-risk patients. Androgen deprivation therapy substantially reduces testosterone levels. Prostate cancer is sensitive to androgen; therefore, this treatment works to counteract both the source and the effects of androgen. Patients should contact their physician immediately if they experience side effects such as blood in urine or severe allergic reactions during treatment.
