Conditions: Anti Cancer

Product Introduction

Tabze 20mg Capsule contains the active ingredient temozolomide, an antitumor agent. It is indicated for treating brain tumours including glioblastoma multiforme in adults and malignant glioma—including glioblastoma multiforme or anaplastic astrocytoma—in patients older than three years. Glioblastoma and anaplastic astrocytoma represent the most common and aggressive brain cancers with poor survival prognosis. Anaplastic astrocytoma is managed with Tabze 20mg Capsule or radiotherapy following biopsy, whereas glioblastoma multiforme is treated with concurrent radiotherapy and Tabze 20mg Capsule, continued as maintenance therapy thereafter.

Common adverse effects associated with Tabze 20mg Capsule include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, diarrhoea, constipation, hair loss, rashes, fatigue, polyuria, visual and auditory disturbances, hyperglycaemia, myositis, arthralgias and myalgias, memory impairment, coordination difficulties, infections, sleep disturbances and weight loss. Inform your doctor if any of these effects cause concern or persist.

Notify your physician of any allergy to Tabze 20mg Capsule or its constituents. Prior to commencing treatment, inform your doctor if you have hepatitis B infection, anaemia, thrombocytopenia, reduced red blood cell or white blood cell counts, blood clotting disorders, or hepatic or renal impairment. Your physician will monitor white blood cell and platelet counts regularly.

Avoid this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Both women and men should use contraception to prevent pregnancy and conception.
