Product Introduction

Tamgress 0.4mg Tablet contains Tamsulosin, an alpha-1 adrenergic blocker used to treat the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), commonly known as an enlarged prostate, in adult men. It works by relaxing the muscles of the prostate and bladder neck, making it easier to urinate and relieving symptoms such as difficulty passing urine, weak urine flow, frequent urination, and incomplete bladder emptying. In some cases, it may also be prescribed to help improve urine flow in patients with kidney stones.

The usual dose is one tablet once daily, taken after breakfast or the first meal of the day, as directed by your doctor. Before starting Tamgress 0.4mg Tablet, inform your healthcare provider if you have liver or kidney disease, low blood pressure, or are scheduled for cataract or glaucoma surgery, as this medicine may affect these conditions. Common side effects include dizziness, especially when standing up quickly, and changes in ejaculation. To reduce the risk of dizziness, rise slowly from sitting or lying positions. Always use this medication under medical supervision and follow your doctor's instructions carefully.

Uses

How it works

Tamsulosin, an alpha-1A adrenoceptor antagonist, selectively blocks sympathetic nervous stimulation of the receptor resulting in relaxation of the smooth muscles of the prostate, prostatic urethra, and bladder neck for improvement in urine flow rate and a reduction in symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia. It binds selectively and competitively to the postsynaptic alpha-1 adrenoceptor, particularly to subtypes alpha1A and alpha1D. It brings about the relaxation of prostatic and urethral smooth muscle
