Tamgress D Tablet

Tamgress D Tablet is a combination medication containing Tamsulosin and Dutasteride. It is used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia in men, which is a non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate gland that can cause urinary difficulties including reduced urinary flow, increased frequency or urgency of urination, and post-micturition dribbling.

This medication is not recommended for adolescents and children under 18 years of age. Do not take Tamgress D Tablet if you are allergic to soya, peanuts, or any other ingredient in the formulation, or if you have experienced angioedema (swelling resulting from an allergic reaction) following use of other medicines.

Inform your doctor if you have severe liver disease, experience dizziness, or have malaise that occurs during or after urination (micturition syncope). If you are scheduled for cataract or glaucoma surgery, notify your ophthalmologist that you are taking or have recently taken Tamgress D Tablet.

Use with caution if you have severely impaired renal function, as clinical data in patients with severe renal impairment is limited. If dizziness occurs, sit or lie down until the symptoms resolve. Report to your physician if you develop a drop in blood pressure with long-term use of this medication.

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)

Tamsulosin mainly reduces the production of a hormone called dihydrotestosterone, which leads to the shrinking of the prostate and relieves the symptoms. Dutasteride relaxes the prostate gland's muscles, facilitating easier urination.

Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of the treatment based on your disease condition, severity, and other factors. Always take Tamgress D Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. Take the tablet after breakfast or after the first daily meal. Do not stop taking this tablet without medical advice from your doctor.

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all drugs cause side effects, not everyone gets them. Common Decreased sex drive Dizziness Breast enlargement or tenderness Difficulty with erection and ejaculation

This medicine is not indicated for females. Take Tamgress D Tablet after breakfast or the first daily meal. Tell your healthcare provider about kidney problems, liver disease, low blood pressure, prostate cancer, or sulfa drug allergies. Inform your doctor if you plan to have cataract or glaucoma surgery. This medicine may cause difficulties with ejaculation. This medicine may cause eye problems during surgery. Your doctor will check your condition and the effects of this medicine at regular visits. Keep all appointments. If you miss a dosage, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missing dose. Do not take a double dose to compensate for a missed dose.
