Product Introduction
Taxim Injection contains cefotaxime, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections. The medicine works by inhibiting bacterial growth, allowing the immune system to clear the infection. Taxim 125 Injection is effective against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. It is commonly prescribed for respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections (UTIs), skin and soft tissue infections, intra-abdominal infections, and central nervous system infections including meningitis. It is also used for surgical infection prevention (surgical prophylaxis) due to its ability to penetrate multiple body sites, including the brain and spinal cord. Although generally well-tolerated, like all antibiotics, it may cause side effects in some patients. Patients with known hypersensitivity to cephalosporins or any ingredients in Taxim 125mg Injection should not receive this medication. Caution is necessary in patients with a history of gastrointestinal conditions such as colitis or those at risk for antibiotic-associated diarrhoea. Patients with severe renal impairment may require dose adjustments. Additionally, this injection should not be mixed with calcium-containing intravenous solutions to prevent adverse reactions.
