Conditions: Antiviral

Product Introduction

Teevir Tablets contain two active substances, Emtricitabine and Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate. These medications form part of standard combination therapy for HIV, known as antiretroviral therapy (ART). This is a combination drug regimen commonly used for effective treatment of HIV-1 infection. When used correctly and consistently, Teevir Tablets have demonstrated high efficacy in HIV treatment and prevention. Antiviral medications help delay the progression of AIDS and improve overall quality of life. For patients with high viral loads, this combination therapy is appropriate. Although this medication substantially reduces the risk of viral transmission, it does not cure HIV, and transmission to other individuals remains possible. It is indicated for adults and children aged 12 years and above with body weight exceeding 35 kg. Teevir Tablets should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity or severe allergic reactions to Emtricitabine, Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate, or any components of the formulation. This medication is not recommended in patients with severe renal impairment or end-stage renal disease who are not receiving haemodialysis.
