This medication is indicated when single or dual therapy has not been effective. It works by relaxing blood vessels to facilitate cardiac output throughout the body, thereby reducing the risk of myocardial infarction and stroke. This medication should be taken as directed by your doctor. It may be taken on an empty stomach or with food, but must be taken at the same time each day. It is important to continue this medicine even if you feel well. Discontinuing medication without proper medical advice will worsen the condition. By lowering blood pressure and reducing the risk of myocardial infarction and stroke, this medication should not be stopped without proper medical advice from your doctor. Common side effects include dizziness, nausea, altered taste, ankle oedema, headaches, somnolence, fatigue, and gastrointestinal upset. Lifestyle modifications such as a low-fat, low-sodium diet and smoking cessation may enhance medication efficacy. Inform your doctor of any kidney or liver dysfunction. If you are breastfeeding or planning pregnancy, inform your doctor before starting this medication. During use, blood pressure should be monitored regularly, and kidney function tests should be performed to detect any abnormal changes.
