Telma NB Tablet

Telma NB Tablet belongs to the class of antihypertensive medications. It contains a combination of two active ingredients: Telmisartan and Nebivolol, which work together to control blood pressure when monotherapy with a single agent is inadequate. The tablet is indicated primarily for the treatment of hypertension. Hypertension (high blood pressure) is a condition in which blood exerts increased pressure on artery walls, potentially leading to heart disease, arrhythmias, and related complications.

Before initiating treatment, inform your doctor of any allergies to Telmisartan or Nebivolol, or a personal history of heart disease, diabetes, hypotension, Raynaud's disease, or Prinzmetal angina. Advise your physician of any documented allergic reactions to Telmisartan, Nebivolol, or their components prior to commencing therapy with Telma NB Tablet. Disclose to your doctor if you have kidney disease, severe hepatic disease, cardiac arrhythmias, hypotension, elevated serum potassium, raised aldosterone levels, diabetes, asthma, or renal artery stenosis (narrowing of blood vessels supplying one or both kidneys). Your physician may require regular monitoring of your blood pressure, electrolytes, and serum potassium levels at periodic intervals during treatment.

Telma NB Tablet should not be administered to children under 12 years of age.

Treats hypertension (high blood pressure).

Telmisartan works by preventing the action of certain substances that tighten blood vessels (arteries). It improves blood flow and increases the heart's ability to pump blood effectively throughout the body. Nebivolol improves blood circulation and lowers blood pressure by relaxing blood pressure and lowering heart rate. Together, they treat people with hypertension who cannot be managed with a single medication.

Telma NB Tablet can be taken with food or without food. It should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Take this medication at the same time every day.

Taking a low-salt diet and regular exercise is recommended for better results. Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption while taking this medication.
