Temonat 20mg Capsule contains Temozolomide, an antitumor medicine used to treat brain cancers, including glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) in adults and malignant glioma, such as glioblastoma multiforme and anaplastic astrocytoma, in patients older than three years. It is an oral alkylating agent that works by slowing or stopping the growth of cancer cells. In newly diagnosed glioblastoma, Temonat 20mg Capsule is commonly used in combination with radiotherapy, followed by maintenance therapy. For anaplastic astrocytoma, it may be prescribed after biopsy or when previous treatments have not been successful. The dosage is determined by the oncologist based on the patient's age, body weight, medical condition, and treatment response. The capsule should be swallowed whole with water and taken exactly as prescribed.

Common side effects of Temonat 20mg Capsule include nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, fatigue, headache, constipation, hair loss, dizziness, skin rash, infections, and reduced blood cell counts, which may increase the risk of bleeding or infections. Serious side effects, such as liver problems or severe bone marrow suppression, require immediate medical attention. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to Temozolomide or any of its ingredients. Temonat 20mg Capsule acts by inhibiting the production of genetic material (DNA and RNA) of the cancer cells, which results in preventing their cell growth and multiplication, thereby preventing cancer spread to other parts of the body.

Use as directed by your physician. Your physician will prescribe an adequate dose according to your height and weight. Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water, on an empty stomach. Do not open, crush or chew the capsule and avoid contact of the open capsules with your skin.
