Product Introduction

Terifrac Pen injection contains teriparatide, a synthetic form of parathyroid hormone (PTH). It is indicated for reducing osteoporosis in men and postmenopausal women. Osteoporosis is a condition characterised by weakened bone structure and increased fracture risk. This medicine functions by stimulating new bone tissue formation, increasing bone mineral density, and promoting bone healing.

Do not use Terifrac Pen injection if you are allergic to teriparatide or any ingredient in the formulation. Do not use this medicine if you have pre-existing hypercalcaemia, severe renal impairment, bone cancer or metastatic cancer to bone, specific bone diseases, unexplained elevations in serum alkaline phosphatase, or prior history of radiotherapy to bone.

Before commencing treatment with Terifrac Pen injection, inform your doctor if you experience persistent nausea, vomiting, constipation, fatigue, or muscle weakness, as these may indicate elevated serum calcium levels. If you have a history of nephrolithiasis or any renal disorder, it is essential to notify your healthcare provider.

This medicine is not recommended for use in children or adolescents under 18 years of age or in patients with open epiphyses.
