Product Introduction
Terlistat 1mg Injection contains the active ingredient Terlipressin. It belongs to the class of medicines known as vasopressin receptor agonists. This medicine is used to treat bleeding from enlarged veins in the oesophagus (food pipe) that connects the throat to the stomach, a condition known as bleeding oesophageal varices. It also helps improve kidney function in adults with hepatorenal syndrome, a condition marked by a sudden decline in kidney function. Terlistat 1mg Injection should not be used if you are allergic to Terlipressin or any of the ingredients in this medicine. Avoid using this injection if you have low oxygen levels (hypoxia), worsening breathing problems, or reduced blood flow to the heart, limbs, or intestines. Before starting treatment, tell your doctor if you have a severe infection called septic shock, bronchial asthma or other respiratory disorders, uncontrolled high blood pressure, a previous heart attack (myocardial infarction), hardening of the arteries (arteriosclerosis), or irregular heartbeat (cardiac arrhythmias). Also inform your doctor if you have reduced blood flow to the brain (stroke), kidney impairment (renal insufficiency), electrolyte imbalance, dehydration, or significant blood loss. Let your doctor know if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, breastfeeding, or are over 70 years of age. Terlistat 1mg Injection is not recommended for children or adolescents. If you are following a low-sodium diet, inform your doctor, as this medicine contains sodium.
