Product Introduction

Thailogem 100mg capsule is an immunomodulatory agent containing the active ingredient Thalidomide. It is indicated for patients recently diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a type of cancer affecting plasma cells in the bone marrow, leading to uncontrolled cell growth and accumulation that damages bones and kidneys. The capsule is also prescribed for treating moderate to severe new lesions in leprosy, a chronic disease affecting the skin and nerves caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium leprae.

Common side effects associated with Thailogem 100mg capsule include sleepiness, headache, dizziness, rashes, pain, tiredness, constipation, nausea, impotence, loss of appetite, fever, and depression. Inform your doctor if any of these side effects occur or persist.

Use an effective contraceptive method to avoid pregnancy during treatment with this medication. Inform your doctor if you are allergic to Thalidomide or any of its ingredients. Disclose any medical history including blood clots, heart attack, neuropathy (pain in the hands or feet caused by nerve damage), slow heart rate, low or high blood pressure, liver or kidney problems, or viral infections such as HIV, hepatitis B virus, and varicella zoster. Your doctor will monitor thyroid function before and during treatment.

Stop taking Thailogem 100mg capsule and consult your doctor immediately if you become pregnant, experience irregular periods, miss a period, notice any change in menstrual bleeding, or have had unprotected sexual intercourse without effective birth control.

This medication is not recommended for adolescents and children under 18 years of age.

Uses

Adjunct to Dexamethasone for treating newly diagnosed multiple myeloma. Treatment of moderate to severe leprosy. Prevention of recurrence of skin lesions in leprosy.

How it works

Thailogem 100mg capsule reduces inflammation and regulates the immune system. It works by enabling the body’s immune system and attacking the cancer cells. It inhibits tumor necrosis factor-alpha, increases the production of interleukin-10 and interacts with the T-cells to generate an immune response. It halts the growth of blood vessels in cancer cells and arrests their development.

How to Use

Take the Thailogem 100mg capsule as your physician advises. Take medicine at a fixed time. Do not crush, chew, or open the medicine. Your physician will decide the correct dosage and duration based on age, body weight, and disease condition.
