Themicaine 2% jelly contains lidocaine hydrochloride, a local anaesthetic agent. It is used to produce local anaesthesia (numbing of a specific area) and provide pain relief on local application. Themicaine 2% jelly is indicated for anaesthesia during various medical procedures, relief of pain and itching associated with minor burns, insect bites, poison ivy exposure, cuts, or scratches, and treatment of painful urethritis.
