Conditions: Anti Cancer

Product Introduction

Tipanat 20mg tablet is an anticancer medication containing two active constituents: trifluridine and tipiracil. It is used to treat adults with colorectal cancer at the metastatic stage (when cancer has spread to other parts of the body) in cases where other treatments are unsuitable. Trifluridine inhibits the growth of cancer cells, while tipiracil prevents the breakdown of trifluridine and extends its duration of action. Cancer is a condition characterised by uncontrolled and abnormal cell multiplication. This medicine is not recommended for adolescents and children under 18 years of age. Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to tipanat 20mg or any other ingredients. Before beginning treatment, inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver impairment or lactose intolerance. This treatment may cause side effects including neutropenia (reduced white blood cell count), anaemia (reduced red blood cell count), and gastrointestinal complications. Report any side effects or symptoms to your doctor. Dose adjustment is necessary in patients with renal impairment. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, as this medicine may harm the foetus. Both males and females should use contraception during treatment and for six months after completion of treatment.
