Product Introduction
Torinat 10mg tablet is an antineoplastic drug belonging to the class of mTOR kinase inhibitors, containing the active ingredient everolimus. It is indicated for advanced breast cancer, renal cell carcinoma, pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours, and subependymal giant cell astrocytoma (tumours located in the brain ventricles). Maintenance of good oral hygiene and regular dental check-ups are important during treatment, as this medicine can cause oral sores or ulcers. For subependymal giant cell astrocytoma, it is often used in combination with cyclophosphamide, an alkylating agent.
Treatment with this medicine increases the risk of bacterial and viral infections. If you have a history of Hepatitis B infection, Torinat 10mg tablet may increase the risk of reactivation. Inform your healthcare provider if you develop fever, chills, cough, yellowing of skin, joint pain, or swelling during treatment. Sun and UV light exposure should be minimised by wearing protective clothing and applying sunscreen regularly, as this medicine may increase the risk of skin cancers. Grapefruit juice and grapefruit should be avoided during treatment.
This tablet is not recommended for adolescents and children under 18 years of age. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience shortness of breath, chest pain, or worsening cough. During treatment, your doctor may perform periodic monitoring of white blood cell counts, platelets, blood glucose, electrolytes, and renal function to prevent serious adverse effects. This medicine has the potential to cause kidney dysfunction. Inform your doctor if you have pre-existing liver disease, heart failure, elevated blood cholesterol, or hypertension before starting treatment. Live vaccines should be avoided, and close contact with individuals who have recently received live vaccines should be minimised.

How it works
