Product Introduction

Trachline 4mg injection contains the active component noradrenaline, a neurotransmitter and hormone that regulates blood pressure and mediates the fight or flight response. It is used in hypotension (low blood pressure), septic shock, cardiac arrest, anaphylactic shock, bradycardia, cardiogenic shock, regional anaesthesia, and nasal congestion. Septic shock is a life-threatening condition characterised by severe systemic infection causing blood pressure drop, organ dysfunction, and inadequate blood flow to vital organs. Cardiogenic shock is a critical condition where the heart's ability to pump blood is severely compromised, leading to inadequate blood flow to organs and tissues, often resulting from myocardial infarction or severe heart failure. Trachline 4mg injection may cause sensitivity reactions, ranging from skin problems to severe allergic responses. It should be used cautiously and avoided in patients allergic to it. Patients with pheochromocytoma, a specific adrenal gland tumour, should not use Trachline 4mg injection, as it could worsen their condition. To ensure Trachline 4mg injection is used safely and effectively, paediatric specialists should be consulted before administration to children. Similarly, geriatric specialists should be involved for older adults. They will focus on determining the appropriate dose, gradual dose adjustment, consideration of concurrent medications, and close monitoring of clinical status. This is particularly important because medication response varies with advancing age.

Uses

Trachline 4mg injection is used in the following: Hypotension management Septic shock treatment Cardiac arrest and bradycardia Anaphylactic shock intervention Cardiogenic shock support Regional anesthesia augmentation Nasal decongestion

How it works

Trachline 4mg injection acts as a neurotransmitter and hormone. It binds to adrenergic receptors on target cells, particularly α1 and α2 adrenergic receptors, leading to vasoconstriction, increased heart rate, and enhanced cardiac contractility. This results in elevated blood pressure and improved perfusion in critical situations.

How to Use

Trachline 4mg injection is primarily administered intravenously (IV). It's typically given as a continuous infusion through a dedicated IV line under the supervision of trained medical personnel. The IV route allows for precise control of the medication's effects and rapid dosage adjustment in critical situations. This medication requires careful monitoring of vital signs and the patient's response to ensure its safety and efficacy.

Adrenor 4mg injection causes some side effects like all medications, although not everyone will experience them. Expert Tips

There are important steps to follow when using Trachline 4mg injection for safety. Patients require close monitoring by healthcare professionals while taking this medication.
