Product Introduction

Tranlok 500 Injection 5ml contains Tranexamic Acid, an antifibrinolytic medicine that helps prevent the breakdown of blood clots, thereby reducing excessive bleeding. Tranlok 500 Injection is commonly prescribed for the short-term prevention and control of bleeding in patients with haemophilia, particularly during or after surgical and dental procedures. It is also used to manage excessive bleeding associated with fibrinolytic therapy, cardiopulmonary bypass surgery, tonsillectomy, prostate surgery, and heavy menstrual bleeding. As a Tranexamic Acid Injection 500mg formulation, it promotes stable clot formation and helps minimise blood loss in a variety of clinical situations.

Do not use Tranlok 500 Injection 5ml if you are allergic to Tranexamic Acid or any of the other ingredients in this medicine. Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have kidney disease, blood disorders, liver problems, or a history of seizures (fits), as these conditions may require dose adjustments or close medical monitoring. It is also important to tell your healthcare provider about all prescription medicines, over-the-counter drugs, herbal supplements, and vitamins you are taking to reduce the risk of drug interactions.

Although Tranlok 500 Injection is generally well tolerated, some patients may experience side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, dizziness, or injection-site reactions. The Tranlok 500 Injection dosage will be determined by your doctor based on your medical condition, severity of bleeding, and overall health status.

How it works

Tranlok 500 Injection 5ml acts by stopping the breakdown of blood clots. It does this by blocking the lysine binding site on a plasminogen protein. This prevents plasminogen from breaking down fibrin, a key component of blood clots, and helps to maintain clot stability. In simpler terms, it helps to keep blood clots intact and prevents excessive bleeding.
