Product Introduction
Tromadex 200mg Injection contains sugammadex as its active ingredient. It is used to reverse the effects of neuromuscular-blocking agents, such as rocuronium and vecuronium, which are commonly used during surgery to induce muscle relaxation. This medication restores muscle function after surgery and allows patients to resume normal breathing and other motor functions. In certain surgical procedures, muscle relaxation is necessary for facilitating intubation or other medical interventions. It can be used to reverse the effects of muscle relaxants once the procedure is completed, helping patients recover normal muscle function more rapidly.
Individuals with known hypersensitivity or allergy to sugammadex or any component of Tromadex 200mg Injection should not receive this medication, as it can lead to severe allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis.
Patients with severe renal impairment may require dosage adjustments or careful monitoring when receiving this medication, as the drug is primarily excreted through the kidneys. The overall health status of elderly patients should be assessed before administering Tromadex 200mg Injection, as they may have a higher likelihood of comorbidities or reduced organ function that could impact the safety and dosage of the medication. The safety and efficacy of this medication in paediatric populations may vary.
Uses
Tromadex 200mg Injection is used in the following: Anesthesia reversal Surgical muscle relaxation reversal Medical intervention reversal
How it works
Tromadex 200mg Injection works by forming a complex with steroidal neuromuscular blocking agents, such as rocuronium and vecuronium, through its modified γ-cyclodextrin structure. This encapsulation sequesters the neuromuscular blocking agents, preventing them from binding to nicotinic cholinergic receptors at the neuromuscular junction. As a result, the free concentration of the neuromuscular blocking agents in the plasma is reduced, allowing the muscle fibres to be released from the blockade and restoring neuromuscular function rapidly and effectively.
How to Use
Tromadex 200mg Injection can be administered intravenously. The dosage and administration of this medication will be determined by a healthcare provider based on the specific needs of the patient and the medical procedure being performed.
Side Effects
Tromadex 200mg Injection causes some side effects like all medications, although not everyone will experience them. Serious side effects of Tromadex 200mg Injection are: Severe allergic reactions Common side effects of Tromadex 200mg Injection are: Nausea Vomiting Headache Shivering
