Trombonat 50mg Tablet is an anticoagulant drug belonging to the thrombopoietin (TPO) receptor agonist category, containing the active ingredient Eltrombopag. It is used for primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) and to manage low platelet counts caused by hepatitis C (HCV) infection. Platelets are blood cells that support blood clotting and protect blood vessels. Low platelet levels can cause severe bruising or bleeding. This medicine is also prescribed for aplastic anaemia in adults with severe bone marrow failure when the body cannot produce enough new blood cells.
