Conditions: Antiviral

Product Introduction

Trustiva Tablets contain Emtricitabine and Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate as active substances. These medications form part of standard combination antiretroviral therapy (ART) for HIV-1 infection. When used correctly and consistently, Trustiva tablets have demonstrated high efficacy in HIV treatment and prevention. Antiviral medications help delay the progression to AIDS and improve overall quality of life. For patients with high viral loads, this combination therapy is appropriate. Although this medication significantly reduces the risk of viral transmission, it does not cure HIV, and transmission to other individuals remains possible.

Trustiva is indicated for adults and children aged 12 years and above with body weight exceeding 35 kg.

Trustiva should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity or severe allergic reactions to Emtricitabine, Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate, or any other components of the formulation. This medication is not recommended in patients with severe renal impairment or end-stage renal disease who are not undergoing hemodialysis.
