Product Introduction

TTCab 0.5mg Tablet contains Cabergoline, a dopamine receptor agonist indicated for hyperprolactinemia, a condition marked by elevated prolactin levels in the blood. In women, raised prolactin can result in menstrual irregularities, infertility, and abnormal lactation. In men, it may cause reduced testosterone levels and associated reproductive dysfunction. TTCab 0.5mg Tablet works to restore hormonal equilibrium and alleviate symptoms linked to high prolactin. The medication acts by targeting the pituitary gland and inhibiting prolactin secretion. TTCab 0.5mg Tablet is also used in the treatment of prolactin-secreting pituitary tumours (prolactinomas), helping to reduce tumour size and related complications. Due to its extended duration of action, it allows for infrequent dosing schedules, making it a suitable option for managing prolactin-related disorders.

Uses

Hyperprolactinemia : Reduces elevated prolactin levels, improving fertility, menstrual cycle regularity, and alleviating symptoms of galactorrhea. Prolactinomas : Manages benign pituitary tumors that secrete prolactin, reducing their size and mitigating symptoms caused by tumor growth.

How it works

TTCab 0.5mg Tablet works by stimulating dopamine receptors in the brain, which inhibit the secretion of prolactin from the pituitary gland. This action helps manage conditions like infertility, irregular menstrual cycles, and unwanted lactation, while also reducing the size of prolactinomas, improving overall quality of life.

How to Use

Take TTCab 0.5mg Tablet orally with or without food, as prescribed by your doctor. The usual dosing schedule is once or twice a week, depending on your condition and prolactin levels. Your doctor may start with a lower dose and adjust gradually to minimize side effects and achieve optimal results.

Side Effects

Common side effects include: Nausea Dizziness Headache Vomiting Fatigue Constipation Advanced effects include: Severe or uncontrolled hypertension History of heart valve disorders Previous fibrotic conditions in the lungs, heart, or abdomen Allergy to Cabergoline or other ergot derivatives
