Product Introduction
Tucaone 150mg Tablet is indicated for the treatment of HER2-positive breast cancer, particularly in patients with metastatic disease including brain metastases. It is administered in combination with trastuzumab and capecitabine. Tucatinib, the active ingredient in Tucaone 150mg Tablet, functions as a HER2 protein inhibitor, reducing proliferation and spread of cancer cells. Tucatinib is a targeted therapy rather than a cytotoxic chemotherapy agent, offering selectivity towards cancer cells with reduced impact on healthy tissue. Treatment requires physician supervision and ongoing monitoring to assess efficacy and safety.
Uses
Tucaone 150mg Tablet is used for: HER2-positive advanced or metastatic breast cancer Brain metastases in HER2+ breast cancer patients Use in combination with trastuzumab and capecitabine after previous HER2-directed therapies This therapy is typically considered when other standard HER2 treatments have become ineffective.
How it works
Tucaone 150mg Tablet belongs to a group of medicines known as tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs). It works by: Specifically targeting the HER2 receptor, a protein that promotes cancer cell growth Blocking HER2-related signalling pathways that drive tumour progression Working synergistically with other anticancer drugs like trastuzumab and capecitabine Crossing the blood-brain barrier to treat cancer that has spread to the brain This focused mechanism helps slow disease progression while minimising impact on normal cells.
