Product Introduction
Ujvira 160mg Injection is a targeted anticancer therapy that contains the active ingredient trastuzumab emtansine. It is indicated for the treatment of adults with human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-positive breast cancer that has spread to other parts of the body or has not responded adequately to previous treatments. This medicine combines two agents: trastuzumab, a monoclonal antibody that specifically targets HER2-positive breast cancer cells, and emtansine, a chemotherapy agent that works by destroying cancer cells. It is also administered after surgery as adjuvant therapy to eliminate any remaining cancer cells in the breast. Ujvira 160mg Injection is not recommended for use in children and adolescents below 18 years of age. Before starting this treatment, inform your doctor if you have blood clotting problems, liver disease, or any known allergies.
Uses

How it works
Trastuzumab binds selectively to the HER2 receptors on breast cancer cells' surface, blocks them from receiving growth signals, and stops the cancer cell's growth. DM1 becomes active once the drug enters the cancer cells and helps stop cancer cell growth.

Ujvira 160mg Injection shall either be administered before or after surgery. It will be given as an Intravenous infusion for 90 minutes, if well tolerated it shall be administered within 30 minutes for the next doses.
