Product Introduction

Ultrorelix 0.25mg Injection is a hormonal medicine that belongs to the class of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) antagonists and contains the active ingredient Cetrorelix. It is prescribed to manage female infertility, a condition in which a woman is unable to conceive or carry a pregnancy to full term. This medication supports the synchronized growth of multiple ovarian follicles, allowing them to be collected successfully during an IVF procedure. It is contraindicated in individuals with a known allergy or hypersensitivity to Cetrorelix or any of its ingredients. Inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease, as careful monitoring or dosage adjustments may be necessary. Ultrorelix 0.25mg Injection is commonly administered with other fertility medicines to stimulate the ovaries during assisted reproductive treatment. It may increase the risk of Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS), a condition where the ovaries enlarge and fluid-filled cysts can develop. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience severe pelvic pain, abdominal bloating, nausea, vomiting, or sudden weight gain, as these may be signs of OHSS. Notify your doctor immediately if you develop serious allergic reactions, including breathing difficulty, wheezing, swelling, rash, itching, fever, or chills. This medicine is not recommended for use in children. Tell your healthcare provider about all medicines you are taking, have recently taken, or plan to take, as they may interact with Cetrorelix. The use of this medication is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Consult your physician for appropriate guidance before starting treatment.

Uses

Female infertility

How it works

Cetrorelix works by blocking the effects of GnRH, a hormone that triggers the release of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). By inhibiting GnRH, this drug helps regulate ovulation timing during ART procedures.

How to Use

Ultrorelix 0.25mg Injection will be given to you by a doctor or other healthcare professional. They will administer the injection in the fatty tissues just under the skin of your belly (subcutaneously). To minimise skin irritation, your physician will select a different area of your belly for each injection.

Side Effects

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all drugs cause side effects, not everyone gets them. Serious Injection site reactions ( pain, itching) Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) Swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat Common Headache Nausea Abdominal discomfort Fatigue
