Product Introduction
Unigef 250mg Tablet is an anticancer medicine that belongs to the class of tyrosine kinase inhibitors and contains Gefitinib as its active ingredient. It is prescribed for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), a condition in which abnormal cells grow uncontrollably within the lung tissues. This medicine is indicated for patients with NSCLC that has spread to other parts of the body, have specific epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) gene mutations, and have not previously received treatment for their cancer. Some formulations of Unigef 250mg Tablet may contain lactose as an inactive ingredient. Patients with lactose intolerance may experience symptoms such as bloating and abdominal pain and should inform their doctor before starting treatment. Tell your healthcare provider if you have kidney or liver disease, vision disorders, lung problems, or if you are taking blood-thinning medicines such as warfarin. Your doctor will recommend regular blood tests to monitor your condition and reduce the risk of complications. Avoid drinking alcohol during treatment, as it may increase the risk of dizziness. Consult your doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, as Unigef 250mg Tablet may harm the unborn baby. Your healthcare provider will perform a pregnancy test before initiating treatment and advise you to use effective contraception during therapy and for at least two weeks after the final dose. Breastfeeding should also be avoided while taking this medicine, as it is not known whether Gefitinib passes into breast milk.
