Unitrexate 500mg Injection contains Methotrexate as its active ingredient. It is an antimetabolite and immunosuppressant medicine used to treat several types of cancer, including acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL), meningeal leukemia, non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, osteosarcoma, cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, breast cancer, and head and neck cancer in adults. It is also prescribed for the treatment of severe psoriasis, a skin condition characterized by red, scaly patches, and rheumatoid arthritis in adults. Do not use Unitrexate 500mg Injection if you are allergic to Methotrexate or any of the other ingredients in this medicine. It should also be avoided in patients with kidney or liver disease, blood disorders, a weakened immune system, or in women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Inform your doctor immediately if you experience symptoms such as coughing or spitting up blood, generalized muscle weakness, vision changes, or problems with thinking, memory, or orientation. This medicine may affect fertility. Avoid becoming pregnant during treatment and for six months after the final dose. Before starting therapy, tell your doctor if you have a stomach ulcer, an active infection, mild kidney disease, or have recently received any vaccinations.
