Urimax D Tablet

Urimax D Tablet is a combination medication containing Tamsulosin and Dutasteride. It is used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia in men, a non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate gland that can cause urinary difficulties including difficulty in passing urine, frequent or urgent urination, and urinary dribbling.

This medication is not recommended for adolescents and children under 18 years of age. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to soya, peanuts, or any of its ingredients, or if angioedema (swelling due to an allergic reaction) has occurred following use of other drugs.

Inform your physician if you have serious liver infection, experience dizziness, or have existing malaise. Particular caution is advised if you experience dizziness during or after urination (micturition syncope). If you are scheduled for cataract or glaucoma surgery, inform your doctor that you are taking or have recently taken Urimax D Tablet.

Caution is advised if you have severely impaired renal function, as insufficient clinical data exists regarding patients with severe renal impairment. Should dizziness occur, sit down or lie down until the symptoms resolve. Report to your physician if you experience a drop in blood pressure during long-term use.

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)

Tamsulosin mainly reduces the production of a hormone called dihydrotestosterone, which leads to the shrinking of the prostate and relieves the symptoms. Dutasteride relaxes the prostate gland's muscles, facilitating easier urination.

Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of the treatment based on your disease condition, severity, and other factors. Always take Urimax D Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. Take the tablet after breakfast or after the first daily meal. Do not stop taking this tablet without medical advice from your doctor.

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all drugs cause side effects, not everyone gets them. Common Decreased sex drive Dizziness Breast enlargement or tenderness Difficulty with erection and ejaculation

This medicine is not indicated for females. Take Urimax D Tablet after breakfast or the first daily meal. Tell your healthcare provider about kidney problems, liver disease, low blood pressure, prostate cancer , or sulfa drug allergies. Inform your doctor if you plan to have cataract or glaucoma surgery. This medicine may cause difficulties with ejaculation. This medicine may cause eye problems during surgery. Your doctor will check your condition and the effects of this medicine at regular visits. Keep all appointments. If you miss a dosage, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missing dose. Do not take a double dose to compensate for a missed dose.
