Ursolieva 300mg Tablet

Ursolieva 300mg Tablet contains the active ingredient Ursodeoxycholic acid. It is a Hepatoprotective agent used to treat liver and biliary conditions associated with cystic fibrosis and primary biliary cholangitis. Primary biliary cholangitis is a liver disorder characterised by impaired bile drainage that damages liver tissue. Cystic fibrosis is an inherited condition affecting the liver and bile ducts in which thickened mucus causes obstruction and inflammation.

Do not take this tablet if you are allergic to Ursodeoxycholic acid or any other ingredient in this medicine. Before beginning treatment, inform your doctor if you have acute inflammation, a non-functional gallbladder, narrowing or blockage of the bile ducts, or a history of gallbladder conditions. If you have a history of liver disease or bile passage obstruction, your doctor may monitor your liver function every four weeks during the first three months of treatment. Such monitoring also allows for early detection of acute liver failure, particularly in patients with advanced primary biliary cholangitis.

Before starting Ursolieva 300mg Tablet, notify your doctor if you have recently undergone intestinal or biliary surgery, have hepatic encephalopathy (a nervous system disorder caused by severe liver disease), a liver bleeding disorder, or any other liver-related condition. Inform your doctor of any underlying kidney condition, as there is limited information on the use of this tablet in patients with kidney disease. The common side effects of this tablet are pasty stool, diarrhea, rash, and abdominal pain.

Ursolieva 300mg Tablet works by reducing the production of cholesterol in the liver and increasing the secretion of bile. This helps to dissolve and prevent the formation of gallstones, as well as improve liver function in certain conditions.

The Ursolieva 300mg Tablet is taken after a meal with a glass of milk or a small snack. Avoid chewing, breaking, or crushing it. Your physician will choose the dosage based on your medical condition because it differs for each person.
