Product Introduction

Valparin Chrono 500mg Tablet is an anticonvulsant containing Sodium Valproate and Valproic Acid. It functions as a sodium channel modulator and is used primarily to treat epilepsy, including various seizure types and epilepsy syndromes. Epilepsy is a neurological disorder characterised by recurrent and unpredictable seizures resulting from abnormal electrical activity in the brain. Seizures may cause loss of consciousness, muscle spasms, convulsions, altered sensations, or behavioural changes. Valparin Chrono 500mg Tablet may also be prescribed for bipolar disorder and migraine prevention. Do not use this tablet if you are allergic to Sodium Valproate, Valproic Acid, or any other ingredient in the medication. Avoid this tablet in patients with porphyria (a rare disorder affecting red blood cell breakdown), a history of severe liver disease, urea cycle disorder, or mitochondrial disorders such as Alpers-Huttenlocher syndrome.

Uses

How it works

Valparin Chrono 500mg Tablet works by increasing the levels of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the brain. GABA is a neurotransmitter that calms nerve activity, reducing the likelihood of seizures, mood swings, and migraine attacks.

How to Use

Take Valparin Chrono 500mg Tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor. It should be swallowed whole with a glass of water, with or after food to prevent stomach upset. Do not chew, crush, or break the tablet, as it is a controlled-release formulation. Take the medicine at the same time every day to maintain steady levels in the body. Do not stop taking Valparin Chrono 500mg Tablet suddenly, as this may increase the risk of seizures, mood swings, or migraines.
