Product Introduction

Valpose 450mg Tablet is an antiviral medication containing the active ingredient Valganciclovir. It belongs to the group of Antiviral (Non-HIV) drugs. After entering the body, Valganciclovir converts into Ganciclovir, which helps fight viral infections. Valpose 450mg Tablet is prescribed to treat Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infections of the retina in adults with AIDS, a condition that can lead to vision problems or blindness. It is also used to prevent CMV infections in adults and children who have received an organ transplant from a CMV-positive donor.

Do not take this medication if you are allergic to Valganciclovir, Ganciclovir, or any of its ingredients. Inform your physician if you have a low blood cell count (WBC, RBC, or platelets). Notify your doctor if you have undergone radiotherapy, hemodialysis, or have kidney-related issues, as dosage adjustments may be required. It is important to inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy. Women must use contraception during treatment and for 30 days after the last dose, while men must use condoms during treatment and for 90 days afterward. Discuss any fertility concerns with your healthcare provider.

Your doctor may perform regular blood tests to monitor blood counts throughout therapy. If the medication is unavailable or unsuitable, your doctor may consider alternative options.
