Product Introduction

VaxiFlu 4 Vaccine contains inactivated or weakened influenza viruses as its active component. The vaccine is intended to prevent infection with the influenza virus. Even in vaccinated individuals who contract influenza, the vaccine may reduce symptom severity and illness duration. Influenza poses particular risk to the elderly, young children, pregnant women, and patients with certain chronic health conditions. Vaccination of these populations helps protect against severe complications and may reduce hospitalisation and mortality risk. Higher vaccination rates in communities can reduce influenza transmission. Some individuals may have allergies to vaccine components, including eggs or other ingredients, requiring specific precautions. Patients who have experienced severe allergic reaction to a previous dose of VaxiFlu 4 Vaccine should not receive further doses. Patients with a history of Guillain-Barré syndrome should consult a healthcare provider before vaccination, as an association between GBS and this vaccine has been reported. Patients with kidney disease can safely receive VaxiFlu 4 Vaccine. The vaccine is recommended for older adults, who face elevated risk of severe influenza complications.

How it works

Once administered, the vaccine introduces inactivated or weakened forms of the virus or specific viral proteins to trigger the production of antibodies. These antibodies then recognize and bind to the influenza virus if the body is exposed to it in the future.
