Product Introduction
Verz 200mg injection is an antifungal medication containing voriconazole as its active ingredient. It belongs to the class of fungal ergosterol synthesis inhibitors and is prescribed for severe, life-threatening fungal infections and as prophylaxis in high-risk patients, including those who have undergone bone marrow transplantation. This medicine should not be administered to children under 2 years of age. Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to voriconazole or any other ingredients in the formulation. Before using Verz 200mg injection, inform your doctor if you have previously had an allergic reaction to other azole antifungals, have liver disease or a history of liver disease, or have cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, bradycardia, or long QTc syndrome on electrocardiogram. During treatment, it is important to avoid sunlight and sun exposure, and to protect the skin with protective clothing and high-SPF sunscreen. These precautions apply to children as well. Common side effects include fever, rash, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, headache, peripheral oedema, abdominal pain, and dyspnoea. While taking this medicine, inform your doctor promptly if you experience sunburn, severe skin rash or blisters, bone pain, signs of adrenal insufficiency such as persistent fatigue, muscle weakness, loss of appetite, weight loss, and abdominal pain, or signs of Cushing's syndrome including weight gain, dorsal fat pad enlargement, moon facies, hyperpigmentation, skin thinning, easy bruising, hyperglycaemia, hirsutism, or excessive diaphoresis. Before taking Verz 200mg injection, inform your doctor if you have a known intolerance to certain sugars, as this medicine contains lactose.
