Product Introduction
Vfend 200mg injection is an antifungal medication containing voriconazole as its active ingredient. It belongs to the class of fungal ergosterol synthesis inhibitors. It is prescribed for severe, life-threatening fungal infections and as a preventive measure for high-risk patients, including those who have undergone bone marrow transplantation. This medicine should not be administered to children younger than 2 years of age. Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to voriconazole, vfend 200mg injection, or other constituents of the formulation. Before taking voriconazole, inform your doctor if you have experienced an allergic reaction to other azoles, have or have had liver disease, or have cardiomyopathy, irregular heartbeat, slow heart rate, or an electrocardiogram (ECG) abnormality known as long QTc syndrome. Additionally, avoid sunlight and sun exposure during treatment; protect the skin with clothing and high-SPF sunscreen. Children should also follow these precautions. Common side effects include fever, rash, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, swelling of the extremities, stomach pain, and breathing difficulties. While taking this medicine, promptly inform your doctor if you experience sunburn, severe skin rash or blisters, bone pain, signs of adrenal insufficiency (chronic fatigue, muscle weakness, appetite loss, weight loss, abdominal pain), or signs of Cushing's syndrome (weight gain, fatty hump, rounded face, darkened skin, thinning skin, easy bruising, high blood sugar, excessive hair growth, excessive sweating). Inform your doctor if you have a known intolerance to certain sugars before taking vfend 200mg injection because this medicine contains lactose.
