Product Introduction

Vicentra 150mg Injection contains Trastuzumab as its active ingredient and is indicated for HER2-positive breast cancer. In patients with HER2-positive breast cancer, cancer cells express elevated levels of HER2 proteins, which accelerate tumour growth by functioning as a growth signal. This medication is also used to treat metastatic gastric cancer with elevated HER2 protein expression. HER2-positive breast cancers are typically more aggressive. The targeted therapy approach works by selectively binding to HER2 proteins responsible for cancer cell growth, development, and metastasis. Effective contraception should be used during treatment and for at least 7 months after the final dose. Trastuzumab 440mg Injection is not recommended in patients under 18 years of age and in those with severe respiratory compromise or oxygen dependency. Inform your doctor if you have cardiac conditions, dyspnoea, or previous exposure to other cancer treatments. Disclose all medications, including supplements and herbal preparations, to your doctor before initiating therapy with this medication.

Uses

How it works

The protein called HER2 (human epidermal growth factor receptor 2) is found in abundant amounts on the surface of certain cancer cells, where it stimulates cancer growth. Trastuzumab 440mg Injection selectively binds to HER2 and stops the growth of cancer cells. Breast Cancer: Vicentra 150mg Injection belongs to targeted drug therapy and it is classified as monoclonal antibodies. Monoclonal antibodies are nothing but human-made proteins that are formulated to bind with the specific target receptors. In a similar way, they attack the HER 2 receptors present on the breast cancer cells and prevent the progression of the disease to other body parts. The most prominent monoclonal antibodies that help treat early or advanced breast cancers include Vicentra 150mg Injection.
