Product Introduction

Vicentra 440mg Injection contains Trastuzumab as its active ingredient and is indicated for HER2-positive breast cancer. In patients with HER2-positive breast cancer, cancer cells express high levels of HER2 proteins, which promote rapid tumour development by acting as a growth signal. This medication is also used to treat metastatic gastric cancer with elevated HER2 protein expression. HER2-positive breast cancers are typically aggressive in nature. Targeted therapy for HER2-positive breast cancer works by selectively targeting the proteins responsible for cancer growth, development, and spread. Effective birth control should be used during treatment and for at least 7 months following the final dose. Trastuzumab 440mg Injection is not recommended for patients under 18 years of age, patients with severe breathing difficulties, or patients requiring oxygen therapy. Inform your doctor if you have heart problems, breathlessness, or have received any previous cancer treatment. Disclose all medicines you are taking, including supplements and herbal medicines, before starting treatment with this medication.

How it works

The protein called HER2 (human epidermal growth factor receptor 2) is found in abundant amounts on the surface of certain cancer cells, where it stimulates cancer growth. Trastuzumab 440mg Injection selectively binds to HER2 and stops the growth of cancer cells. Breast Cancer: Vicentra 440mg Injection belongs to targeted drug therapy and it is classified as monoclonal antibodies. Monoclonal antibodies are nothing but human-made proteins that are formulated to bind with the specific target receptors. In a similar way, they attack the HER 2 receptors present on the breast cancer cells and prevent the progression of the disease to other body parts. The most prominent monoclonal antibodies that help treat early or advanced breast cancers include Vicentra 440mg Injection.
