Product Introduction
Vonaz 200mg injection is an antifungal agent containing voriconazole as the active ingredient. It is classified as a fungal ergosterol synthesis inhibitor and is prescribed for severe, life-threatening fungal infections and as prophylaxis in high-risk patients, including those who have undergone bone marrow transplantation. This medicine should not be administered to children younger than 2 years of age. Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to voriconazole or any other ingredient in the formulation. Before using Vonaz 200mg injection, inform your doctor if you have experienced allergic reactions to other azole medications, have or have had liver disease, or have cardiomyopathy, irregular heartbeat, slow heart rate, or long QTc syndrome on electrocardiogram (ECG). During treatment, avoid sunlight and sun exposure; protect the skin with protective clothing and high-SPF sunscreen. Children should observe these same precautions. Commonly reported side effects include fever, rash, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, headache, swelling of the extremities, abdominal pain, and breathing difficulties. Whilst taking this medicine, promptly report to your doctor if you develop sunburn, severe skin rash or blisters, bone pain, signs of adrenal insufficiency (persistent fatigue, muscle weakness, loss of appetite, weight loss, abdominal pain), or signs of Cushing's syndrome (weight gain, fatty deposits, rounded face, darkened skin, skin thinning, easy bruising, elevated blood glucose, increased hair growth, excessive sweating). Inform your doctor if you have a known intolerance to certain sugars before taking Vonaz 200mg injection, as this medicine contains lactose.
