Voraze 200mg injection is an antifungal medication containing voriconazole, a fungal ergosterol synthesis inhibitor. It is prescribed for severe, life-threatening fungal infections and as preventive therapy for high-risk patients, including those who have undergone bone marrow transplantation. This medicine must not be administered to children under 2 years of age. Do not use Voraze 200mg injection if you are allergic to voriconazole or any other constituent. Before commencing voriconazole, inform your doctor if you have experienced allergic reactions to other azole medications, have or have had liver disease, cardiomyopathy, irregular heartbeat, slow heart rate, or 'long QTc syndrome' (an electrocardiogram abnormality). During treatment, avoid sunlight and sun exposure; protect skin with clothing and high-SPF sunscreen. Children must observe these same precautions. Common side effects include fever, rash, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, headache, swelling of extremities, stomach pain, and breathing difficulties. While taking this medicine, promptly report to your doctor if you experience sunburn, severe skin rash or blisters, bone pain, signs of adrenal insufficiency (persistent fatigue, muscle weakness, loss of appetite, weight loss, abdominal pain), or signs of Cushing's syndrome (weight gain, fatty hump, rounded face, darkened skin, thin skin, easy bruising, elevated blood sugar, excessive hair growth, excessive sweating). Inform your doctor if you have a known intolerance to certain sugars before taking Voraze 200mg injection, as this medicine contains lactose.
