Product Introduction
Vorimed 200mg Tablet is an antifungal medicine containing voriconazole, a fungal ergosterol synthesis inhibitor. It is used to treat severe, life-threatening fungal infections and for prevention in high-risk patients, including those who have received bone marrow transplantation. Do not administer to children under 2 years of age. Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to voriconazole or other ingredients. Before starting Vorimed 200mg Tablet, inform your doctor of a history of allergic reactions to azole antifungals, liver disease, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, bradycardia, or long QTc syndrome on electrocardiogram. Sun exposure must be avoided during treatment; protect the skin with protective clothing and sunscreen with high SPF. These precautions apply to children as well. Common side effects include fever, rash, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, headache, peripheral oedema, abdominal pain, and dyspnoea. During treatment, immediately report to your doctor sunburn, severe rash or blisters, bone pain, signs of adrenal insufficiency (persistent fatigue, muscle weakness, anorexia, weight loss, abdominal pain), or signs of Cushing's syndrome (weight gain, dorsocervical fat pad, rounded facies, hyperpigmentation, skin atrophy, easy bruising, hyperglycaemia, hirsutism, diaphoresis). Inform your doctor if you have known intolerance to specific sugars prior to use, as this medicine contains lactose.
