Product Introduction

Vorivance Injection is an antifungal medication containing voriconazole, a fungal ergosterol synthesis inhibitor. It is prescribed for severe, life-threatening fungal infections and for prevention in high-risk patients such as those undergoing bone marrow transplantation.

Do not administer to children younger than 2 years of age. Do not use if you are allergic to voriconazole or any ingredient in the formulation. Before treatment, inform your doctor of any previous allergic reactions to azole antifungals, liver disease, cardiomyopathy, irregular heartbeat, slow heart rate, or prolonged QTc interval on ECG.

Avoid sunlight and sun exposure during therapy. Use protective clothing and sunscreen with high SPF. Children should follow the same sun protection precautions.

Dosage depends on infection severity, liver function, and your overall medical condition. Take strictly as prescribed by your physician.

Common side effects include fever, rash, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, headache, swelling of extremities, abdominal pain, and breathing difficulties.

Promptly report to your doctor if you experience sunburn, severe skin rash or blisters, bone pain, signs of adrenal insufficiency (chronic fatigue, muscle weakness, appetite loss, weight loss, abdominal pain), or signs of Cushing syndrome (weight gain, dorsal fatty hump, rounded face, skin darkening, skin thinning, easy bruising, elevated blood glucose, excessive hair growth, excessive sweating).
