Tafamidis is a medication containing the active ingredient tafamidis. It is used to treat transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM), a rare progressive condition affecting the heart. In this disease, abnormal protein deposits of transthyretin (TTR) accumulate in heart tissue, causing thickening and stiffening of the heart muscle, which may lead to heart failure.
