Product Introduction

Wembira DT 250mg Tablet contains abiraterone acetate as the active constituent. It is used in adult men to treat prostate cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. It is usually given with steroid medication to reduce the likelihood of side effects. When Wembira DT 250mg Tablet is prescribed for early-stage disease, it is used alongside testosterone-lowering treatment. This medicine is not suitable for use in women or children. Effective contraception must be maintained throughout treatment. This medicine contains lactose and sodium. Inform your doctor if you are lactose intolerant or following a salt-restricted diet. Inform your doctor if patients have liver problems, high blood pressure, heart disorders, low blood potassium, diabetes, allergic conditions, or other diseases. Ensure your doctor is informed of all medicines you are taking, including supplements and herbal medicines, before starting treatment with this medication. The most common side effects are fluid in the feet or legs, high blood pressure, and diarrhoea. A decrease in red blood cells and reduced libido may also occur with Wembira DT 250mg Tablet. This medicine should not be taken with Ra-223, which is used to treat prostate cancer.

How it works

The drug works by inhibiting the production of hormone testosterone in the body. This can slow the growth of prostate cancer.

How to Use

The medicine should always be consumed as per the direction of your physician or pharmacist. The drug should be taken by mouth. It should not be taken with food. Swallow the tablets whole with water without breaking them. Food must be eaten at least 2 hours before taking the medication and must not be eaten for at least 1 hour after taking the medicine.Women who are pregnant or who may become pregnant should not touch this medication without gloves.

Side Effects

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medical treatment. Although all medicines can cause side effects, everyone will not get them. Serious: Low blood potassium levels (muscle weakness, muscle twitches, or pounding heartbeat) Common Fluid in legs or feet Low blood potassium High blood pressure Urinary tract infection Diarrhea High-fat levels in the blood Chest pain Irregular heartbeat Rapid heart rate Bone fracture Indigestion Blood in urine Rash

Inform the doctor if the patient has any liver, blood pressure, heart disorders, diabetes and medication taken for different medical conditions before taking this medication. The medicine should be taken as prescribed by the doctor. This medication should be taken orally, and it should be taken on an empty stomach. It should not be taken with food; swallow the tablet as a whole with water without breaking it. Food must be eaten at least 2 hours before taking the medication, and the patient is advised to eat after 1 hour after consuming the medication. Blood pressure, potassium levels, and liver function tests should be monitored regularly while taking this medication.
