Product Introduction

Wepox Safe 3000IU Injection contains recombinant human erythropoietin alfa (epoetin alfa) as its active component. It is classified as an erythropoiesis-stimulating agent (ESA) and is used to treat anaemia arising from chronic kidney disease (CKD), cancer chemotherapy, or HIV infection treatment with zidovudine. The injection also reduces the requirement for red blood cell transfusions in patients at elevated risk of blood loss during planned surgery or other procedures.

Wepox Safe 3000IU Injection is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to the drug or any of its components, uncontrolled hypertension, active thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA), pure red cell aplasia (PRCA), uncontrolled seizures, pregnancy, or lactation. Caution is advised in patients with a history of blood clots, heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, liver disease, thalassemia, sickle cell anaemia, myelodysplastic syndrome, leukaemia, or cancer. In children under 18 years of age, use is only justified when potential benefits outweigh the risks. Older adults receiving this medication require close monitoring for adverse effects.
