Product Introduction

Xarelto 15mg tablet contains rivaroxaban, an anticoagulant that belongs to the class of Xa inhibitors. It is used to treat deep vein thrombosis (DVT, a blood clot usually in the leg) and pulmonary embolism (PE, a blood clot in the lung) in adults. It also prevents recurrence of DVT and PE following initial treatment in adults. Xarelto 15mg tablet helps prevent strokes or serious blood clots in adults with atrial fibrillation (a condition characterised by an irregular heartbeat, which increases the risk of clot formation in the body and potentially causing strokes) that is not caused by heart valve disease. In children and adolescents below 18 years with a body weight of 30kg or more, this tablet is indicated to treat blood clots. It is also used to prevent recurrence of blood clots in the veins or blood vessels of the lungs following initial treatment of at least 5 days with injectable anticoagulant medicines.

Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to rivaroxaban or any other ingredients in this medicine. Do not take this medicine if you are experiencing excessive bleeding. Do not take this medicine if you have a disease or condition affecting an organ that increases the risk of serious bleeding. Do not take this medicine if you have liver disease that leads to an increased bleeding risk. Do not take Xarelto 15mg tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Inform your physician if you have liver disease, heart problems, a family history of heart disease, kidney problems, bleeding disorders, lung disease, or high blood pressure. Tell your physician if you plan to undergo any surgical procedures, including dental procedures, during treatment with this medicine.
