Product Introduction

Xerostene Mouth Gargle is a combination of two solutions formulated to support oral health. Solution A contains dibasic sodium phosphate 0.032% w/v and monobasic sodium phosphate 0.009% w/v, while Solution B contains calcium chloride dihydrate 0.052% w/v and sodium chloride 0.569% w/v. It contains the same inorganic components, calcium and phosphate, that are naturally present in saliva. Xerostene Mouth Gargle is a highly concentrated electrolyte preparation that closely resembles human saliva and provides supersaturated calcium and phosphate ions. It also helps restore the natural pH and electrolyte balance of saliva, which may help maintain the mineral integrity of the teeth.

Treatments such as chemotherapy and radiation therapy can sometimes cause oral mucositis. This condition affects the inner lining of the mouth and may lead to symptoms such as discomfort, redness, inflammation, and swelling. Xerostene Mouth Gargle may be used to help manage oral mucositis and support oral comfort during treatment. Before starting treatment with Xerostene Mouth Gargle, inform your physician about all medicines and other treatments you are currently taking or have taken recently. This will help your healthcare provider assess its appropriate use and reduce the possibility of unwanted interactions.

Uses

Treatment of oral mucositis

How it works

It is a supersaturated calcium and phosphate ion electrolyte solution that is highly concentrated and resembles human saliva. Supersaturated Calcium and Phosphate Rinse (SSCP) aims to address the painful and severe mucositis symptoms linked to severe Xerostomia. Xerostene penetrates the epithelium of injured tissues to lubricate, clean, and moisturize the oral cavity. Additionally, it helps maintain the integrity of the mineral content in teeth by restoring the saliva's natural pH and electrolyte balance.

How to Use

Xerostene Mouth Gargle should always be used exactly as prescribed by your doctor. In a sterile glass, combine solutions A and B. For one minute, swish half of the solution inside the mouth and Spit out after repeating with the other half. Refrain from swallowing it. When using mouthwash, take care not to get any in your eyes. If you accidentally get any in your eyes, rinse them immediately with cold water.

Side Effects

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all medicines cause side effects, not everyone gets them. Xerostene mouth gargle is generally safe for all individuals; consult your doctor if you experience discomfort.
