Product Introduction

Xtide 40mg capsule contains enzalutamide, an androgen receptor inhibitor used to treat prostate cancer in men. It is indicated for men with elevated testosterone levels where previous hormone-reducing treatments or testosterone-lowering procedures no longer provide adequate disease control. It is also used in metastatic prostate cancer that responds to hormone therapy or procedures that lower testosterone levels. Additionally, it is used for castration-responsive prostate cancer that is non-metastatic but carries high risk of metastasis and biochemical recurrence.

Xtide 40mg capsule should not be used if you are allergic to enzalutamide or any other ingredients in this medicine. It is not recommended for children and adolescents below 18 years of age. Men must use effective contraceptive methods during treatment and for 3 months after completion, as the medicine can cause harm to a developing foetus. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy to discuss appropriate contraceptive options. Bone density testing is recommended during treatment.

Before starting treatment, inform your physician if you have any active infections or problems affecting the kidneys, heart, or liver. Patients with ischemic heart disease require close monitoring for risk factors. Report to your doctor immediately if you experience seizures, worsening headaches, disorientation, loss of vision, or any other visual disturbances. Provide your doctor with a complete list of all medicines, over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are taking before beginning therapy.

Uses

Prostate cancer resistant to other treatments Metastatic prostate cancer reacts to hormone therapy or surgery to reduce testosterone levels Non-metastatic prostate cancer with a high chance of spread and recurrence.

How it works

Xtide 40mg capsule medicine acts by blocking the activity of androgens hormone (such as testosterone) by binding with androgen receptors. Xtide 40mg capsule prevents the Androgen receptor from moving to its new site, which further lowers AR-mediated transcriptional activity and stops the growth of tumor cells. Xtide 40mg capsule inhibits the AR complex's ability to bind to DNA, which stops the transcriptional activation of AR target genes. As a result, it reduces testosterone levels and halts the growth and division of prostate cancer cells.

How to Use

Xtide 40mg capsule is usually taken orally, with or without food. The capsules should be swallowed whole with a glass of water and not crushed, chewed or broken. The dosage and frequency of Xtide 40mg capsule will depend on various factors, including the patient's age, weight, overall health, and the type and stage of cancer being treated. It's important to follow the dosing instructions provided by a healthcare provider, and not to adjust the dosage or frequency without consulting with them first. Pregnant or potentially pregnant women shouldn't handle broken or damaged Xtandi tablets without wearing gloves or other protective gear. If a dose is missed, it should be taken as soon as possible unless it's within 6 hours of the next scheduled dose. In that case, the missed dose should be skipped and the regular dosing schedule resumed. It's important not to take a double dose of abemaciclib to make up for a missed dose.
