Product Introduction
Zafimove 100mg Tablet contains safinamide. This medication is indicated for the treatment of Parkinson's disease, a neurodegenerative disorder affecting movement. It helps reduce symptoms of Parkinson's disease including tremors, stiffness, and slowness of movement.
Zafimove 100mg Tablet is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity or allergic reactions to safinamide or any of its components. Avoid concurrent use or use within 14 days of discontinuing other monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors, as this can result in serious drug interactions and increase the risk of serotonin syndrome. It is not suitable for patients with pheochromocytoma due to potential to increase blood pressure and stimulate release of certain hormones.
Patients with renal impairment should use Zafimove 100mg Tablet with caution. Safety and efficacy have not been established in paediatric patients, therefore it is not typically recommended for children. Zafimove 100mg Tablet may be used in older adults, though caution is warranted due to age-related changes in drug metabolism and potential for concurrent health conditions.
