Zexipag 200mcg Tablet is a pulmonary vasodilator belonging to the class of prostacyclin receptor agonists. The active ingredient is Selexipag. It is indicated for treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) to improve exercise capacity and delay disease progression. Pulmonary arterial hypertension is a serious and rare condition characterised by high blood pressure in the arteries supplying the lungs, primarily affecting small blood vessels (arteries) in the lungs, leading to their narrowing and increased resistance to blood flow.

This medication is contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity or allergy to Selexipag or any component of the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe coronary heart disease, unstable angina, recent myocardial infarction, decompensated cardiac failure, severe cardiac arrhythmia, or certain heart valve defects. The medication should not be used in patients who have experienced stroke within the last three months or any other cerebrovascular event that reduces blood supply to the brain. Concurrent use with gemfibrozil (a lipid-lowering agent) is contraindicated.
