Categories: Oncology

Conditions: Anti Cancer

Product Introduction

Zoldria 4mg contains the active ingredient Zoledronic Acid, which belongs to the class of medicines known as bisphosphonates. It is used to treat high calcium levels in the blood (hypercalcaemia) caused by certain types of tumours in adults. Some cancers increase the normal breakdown of bone tissue, resulting in excessive calcium being released into the bloodstream. This condition is referred to as tumour-induced hypercalcaemia (TIH). Zoldria 4mg is also prescribed to help prevent bone-related complications in adults with multiple myeloma and bone metastases from solid tumours when used alongside standard cancer therapy.

Zoldria 4mg is also indicated for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women and in men with weakened bones. In addition, it is used to treat Paget's disease of bone, a disorder in which the bones become enlarged, weak, painful, or more susceptible to fractures. It may also be prescribed to prevent or manage glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis in men and women receiving long-term corticosteroid treatment, which can lead to decreased bone density.

Do not use Zoldria 4mg if you are allergic to Zoledronic Acid, any other bisphosphonate, or any of the ingredients in this medicine. This injection should also be avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease, bone disorders, or symptoms such as jaw pain, swelling, or numbness, as these conditions may require additional monitoring. This medicine is not recommended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.

It is important to note that Zoldria 4mg is not a chemotherapy medicine and does not stop or slow the progression of cancer. Instead, it is used to manage bone-related conditions and complications associated with cancer while helping to maintain bone strength and reduce the risk of skeletal problems.
